On the Farm
Edit here.
A place to breathe.
Just 25 minutes from downtown, our scenic 10 acre farm serves as the canvas for the youth to learn a variety of skills, earn a paycheck, produce an abundance of food for the KC community and just as importantly a place where the youth find a home away from home. In this haven away from the stresses of every day life, our boys gain the skills to produce their own healthy food, and the confident business skills necessary to produce a one-of-a-kind culinary class product to leave their legacy on the BoysGrow farm.

We grow pride and produce.
Our boys contribute approximately 20,000 lbs of fresh organic produce through restaurants, grocery stores, contract growing and over 1,000 lbs towards local food banks and shelters. We are diligent farmers who believe in providing the highest quality food for our clients, city, and ourselves.

Class Products.
Every year the youth have the difficult task of developing the recipe that will eventually be their Class Product and end up on shelves in Kansas City. Each youth uses their different skillsets and lessons from their teams to brainstorm, develop and launch their chosen product. This video shows the behind the scenes of the class of 2014's process to create their own product.

2016 Jalapeño Honey Mustard
The ‘16 Class has spiced things up with mustard that is the essence of “sweet heat.” We used honey and agave as the sweeteners and fresh jalapeno for a kick. Our take on the traditional Greek Sauce is a delicious topping for a salad or dipping sauce for veggies. It has flavors of fresh cucumber, dill, lemon and garlic.
2015 Tzatziki Salad Dressing
The 2015 Class has created a unique concept for a fresh and delicious salad dressing. Taken from the Greek dressing, this shelf-stable product is delicious with salads or as a topping for a variety of dishes.
2014 Avocado Hot Sauce
This product is on the milder side as far as hot sauces go but offers a lot more flavor than traditional Louisiana or Mexican style sauces. With a smooth hint of avocado, lime, a traditional vinegar base and jalapeños for the heat, our 2014 product has been a great seller and great on eggs.
2013 BBQ Sauce
We are very proud of our unique style of sauce. Being in KC we are in a crowded BBQ market but our sauce is unique and tasty. The 2013 class stayed true to our health driven product line and blended a KC style {sugar and tomato} with a Carolina style sauce {vinegar}. With not just sugar but agave and honey as the sweeter and more vinegar than other sauces it compliments the meat without being too gummy sweet or tangy with vinegar, just a good sauce
2012 Agave Ketchup
Our 2012 Boys created a new ketchup with a “similar to Heinz” taste only with no High Fructose Corn Syrup. They wanted it to be unique and healthy but still be ketchup. With real tomatoes and tomato seeds in the jar it is obviously a fresher version of what customers are use to.
2011 Salsa Orgullo
Our 1st product is still our best seller. Orgullo means "pride" in spanish, and this product is one we are very proud of. Our youth wanted to go after the texture and freshness of a Pico de Gallo Salsa, so the customer will find a truly chunky salsa with evidence of onion, tomatoes and cilantro.
Our very own creations.
